Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

The information processed by RChat depends on the features you use. We limit collection to information reasonably needed to operate the service, secure accounts, process supported transactions, prevent abuse, provide support, and comply with applicable requirements.

1.1 Account and Profile Information

• Name, nickname, username, display name, RChat User ID, and profile details.
• Email address, phone number, or login-provider information used for registration or authentication.
• Basic Google account information made available through Google Sign-In, such as account identifier, name, email address, and profile image, when Google Sign-In is used.
• Country or region, gender, birthday, and other optional profile information you choose to provide.
• Profile photo, room image, room name, room notice, and personal settings.

1.2 User Content and Interactions

• Public room messages, private messages, feedback, support requests, reports, and related timestamps.
• Rooms you create, join, follow, or interact with.
• Users you follow, block, report, or otherwise interact with.
• Moderation and safety records, including report, block, mute, kick, chat restriction, ban, appeal, and administrative action records.

We may process this information to deliver messages, maintain supported chat history, investigate reports, prevent abuse, enforce our policies, and protect users.

1.3 Live Voice Rooms and Audio

RChat uses LiveKit technology deployed on infrastructure operated for RChat to provide real-time voice rooms. Microphone access occurs only when you grant permission and use a voice feature.

Live audio is transmitted and processed in real time so participants in the same room can communicate. RChat does not intentionally record or store live voice conversations by default. Temporary technical buffering and connection metadata may be processed as necessary to deliver and secure the real-time service.

If recording, replay, transcription, saved audio, or a similar feature is introduced, users will be informed and this Privacy Policy and relevant Google Play disclosures will be updated before that feature is used.

1.4 Purchase Information

RChat may store limited information about purchases made in the App, including the date, time, amount, and purchase history.

1.5 Device, Diagnostic, and Security Information

• Device model, operating system version, app version, IP address, network status, and app-instance identifiers.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications.
• Crash logs, performance information, login records, diagnostic information, security events, and abuse-prevention records.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and authenticate accounts and provide RChat features.
• To operate voice rooms, messaging, profiles, gifts, notifications, purchases, and other supported app features.
• To protect accounts, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, enforce policies, and maintain platform safety.
• To respond to support requests, reports, deletion requests, and appeals.
• To diagnose errors, improve reliability and performance, and maintain technical operations.
• To comply with applicable legal, safety, regulatory, and payment-related obligations.

3. Permissions We May Request

• Microphone: for live voice-room participation.
• Camera: when you choose to take a profile or room photo.
• Photos, Media, or Storage: when you choose to select or upload supported media.
• Notifications: for service messages, chat alerts, room updates, gift activity, purchase updates, and security alerts.
• Network Access: to connect to RChat servers, LiveKit infrastructure, databases, cloud storage, notifications, and necessary service providers.

You may manage supported permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose limited information only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure RChat, process supported payments or billing, respond to reports, comply with applicable law, protect rights and safety, or work with service providers acting on our behalf.

Recipients may include cloud database and storage providers, authentication providers, image-hosting providers, payment or billing providers, notification providers, crash-reporting providers, LiveKit infrastructure, support and moderation personnel, professional advisers, and competent authorities where legally required.

5. Third-Party Services and Components

Depending on the RChat features in use, RChat may use services or components such as Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, Cloudinary, and LiveKit. These providers may process limited information under their own terms and privacy practices.

As of the Last Updated date above, RChat does not use AdMob advertising or Firebase Analytics. If this changes, this Privacy Policy and applicable Google Play disclosures will be updated.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authentication controls, database and storage access rules, restricted administrative access, secure transmission protocols supported by the relevant services, monitoring, backups where appropriate, and fraud-prevention controls.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your login credentials private, do not share passwords or one-time verification codes, and avoid posting sensitive personal information in public rooms or chats.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the reason it is needed.

Account and profile information is generally kept while the account remains active. Some purchase, transaction, security, moderation, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal-compliance records may be retained after account deletion when there is a legitimate need. Retained information is restricted to the minimum reasonably necessary and is deleted or irreversibly de-identified when the applicable purpose ends.

Live voice conversations are not recorded or stored by RChat by default.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You can initiate account deletion from the RChat app through Settings > About Us > Account Deletion, or use the public deletion resource at web.mdparvez.com/delete-account. You may also email rchat308@gmail.com.

We may request reasonable verification to confirm account ownership. Verified requests are processed within 30 days. When deletion is completed, the RChat account and associated personal data are deleted or irreversibly de-identified, except for limited records that must be retained for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, payment-verification, dispute-resolution, child-safety, or legal-compliance purposes.

9. Age Restriction and Child Safety

RChat is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. A person under 18 must not create or use an RChat account.

RChat explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sextortion, trafficking, and any content or conduct that exploits, sexualizes, harms, or endangers a minor. We may remove content, permanently ban accounts, preserve relevant evidence where legally required, and report confirmed CSAM or other serious child-safety violations to appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Child-safety concerns may be reported through RChat's in-app reporting mechanism or to rchat308@gmail.com.

10. International Processing

RChat is operated by PBP. Service providers may process or store information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate. We use reasonable measures intended to protect information as described in this Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in RChat, legal requirements, safety practices, or service providers. The “Last Updated” date will be revised when material changes are published.
